Already skeptical about car dealerships this has to be the best car dealership in town. The salesmen were very accommodating and friendly. I was given a car fax without even asking for it. I would recommend this place for anyone looking for a good clean used car.

Hit a Moose totaling our Suburban in Fairbanks Valentines weekend. After two weeks of visiting all the local dealerships with no luck and poor customer service, we found Payless Car Sales. Oscar was our salesman and he told us to jump in and test drive our Expedition EL right when we arrived, no wai...ting on someone to ride with us. Vehicle was spotless! Please note how the staff here take 20 plus pictures of the vehicle, because they have nothing to hide! Had two small chips on the rear which Oscar said they would fix right away. Vehicle had nice highway tires, not suitable for our winters. Jose the Sales Manager hooked us up with American Tire and we got great Cooper A/T tires at his cost, cheaper than Sams and Costco. When picking up our vehicle we met Ali the owner who actually thanked us for buying the vehicle from him! An Alaska business owner who actually believes in customer service! This was similar to doing business back home in Alabama. Our family will go straight to Payless the next time we purchase another vehicle. Oh yes after visiting twenty plus lots Payless also had the best prices on their vehicles. Show more

My son was born 2 weeks early on march 1st, and I needed a safe family vehicle. I found, via the internet, payless auto sales, and made my first call to start the process of buying a 2004 jeep cherokee. I initially talked to Russell, who, after hearing my current dilema did his utmost to get the bal...l rolling on financing my vehicle. you cannot have an infant with only a 2 seater truck which was my current vehicle. After giving some initial information, he assured me he would do his best to help me out. he kept his promise. The next day I came to the dealership, and drove my new car off the lot. these guys are military friendly, parent friendly, and just friendly in general. If your looking for a new car in the anchorage area, look no further. Show more

I'VE BOUGHT A TRUCK AND A CAR FROM OTHER DEALERS AND REGRET NOT SHOPPING AROUND FIRST, I JUST BOUGHT A TRUCK FROM THESE GUYS AND THEY ARE VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE AND HELPFUL ALL I HAD TO DO WAS POINT OUT THE TRUCK AND THEY DID EVERYTHING THEY CAN TO MAKE IT POSSIBLE, I PLAN ON COMING BACK IN THE FUTURE A...ND I WOULD RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE LOOKING TO BUY A VEHICLE. The entire staff was friendly and courtious. Both Ali & Jose were outstanding, both in customer service and very knowledgeable of there complete instock inventory. Nice selection of cars. Sales staff was extremely low pressure and operated on your time and schedule. If were just browsing, that was fine with them. Did not try to upsell like the majority of dealers out there.

I first heard of payless through their website and loved how detailed it was. I called to say I was on my way to look at a specific car and when I got there they had it already warmed up and ready for a test drive. Jose made me and my husbands first car buying experience very relaxed, easy, and stre...ss free. He even went the extra mile to keep my 3 year old daughter happy and entertained during the process. We were done with paperwork and driving our car off the lot in just a few hours! Show more

These guys are number one in ALL OF ANCHORAGE!! Very very professional. Sold a truck there in less than a week. Checks were cut the very next day. Honest, non hassling and amazing customer service. Very easy process and 2nd to none staff. Jose made it happen. Curtious and helpfull. Not like your oth...er dealerships in town, these guys MOVE cars and they have the BEST location that any company could ever imagine. Will be coming back for years. A+ guys, great marketing as well.
